Be Thankful For What You Got
One of my favorite songs ever. There really isn't a version that I don't like of this song. I can't help but lean towards William De Vaughn's. It has been a long and tough summer. Keep your heads up, have the knuckles ready and keep it moving....

Time To Breathe A Little...
Today the new Supreme goods dropped on the website. Part of the sweat I put into here has to do with the site amongst other projects. This is the first lookbook Supreme has done and I'm proud to say that I helped in the Art Direction/Styling. I didn't go to Japan just to drink beer and eat McDonalds....
Above are a few of the looks that I'm diggin...

We Got This...Queens!
Inspired by Brooklyn vs Queens hip-hop artists...always a big debate at BBQ's full of graffiti writers and locals...but in the mid-90's Queens was bringing it....I will just start here for now...This was weird time period in NY Ruff Ryders was about to pop off...Puff was doing his shiny suit thing with Harlem behind him...and almost all early 90's artist failed to deliver a dope second album...MOB was holding The Bridge down and Capone and Noreaga was reppin IRAK....

Watch
This kept me up till 3am last night. "Assault In The Ring"-The story of a boxing match gone wrong in 1983 do to dirty dealings. Plaster wrapped hands, padding illegal taken out from gloves and prednisone mixed with water all done by Luis Resto and his trainer Panama Lewis in his bout against up and comer Billy Collins. What resulted was a young kids face bashed in and Luis and his trainer being banned from boxing for life. If you have HBO check it out.
This was the end result of that fight...

Thank You Mr. John Hughes
It pains me to write an ode to a man that passed away that helped shape my youth. Taught me how to embrace my self-loathing and inner dork. To all that know me well they know that my favorite movie is Pretty In Pink (tied with Rocky which is a whole other story). First time I watched this movie I fell in love with Molly and also was destined to be Duckie for my high school years. The outfits, soundtrack that is murder(Echo and The Bunnymen "Bring On The Dancing Horses" most slept on song), and all The Smiths placement in the record store is classic. Every time I watch the movie I always hope Duckie bags Molly. Even though he comes up at the end with Buffy The Vampire Slayer I still feel he belonged with Molly. Thank you Mr. Hughes!
P.S. Fuck Blaine!
