Set in 1940's El Barrio aka Spanish Harlem...home of slick talking, dice rolling, players, pimp, simps and tricks. I deserve a super late pass for having just read this...good timing for a read for those of us who have race identity issues growing up here in the US...Piri tackles this head on...with the current state being that a show like GIRLS is groundbreaking, we still have some literature to run to...peace...
