Stache

Over the weekend I decided to chop the beard off and out of sheer boredom/laziness I left a stache behind. Got the thumbs up from a date on Sunday night that has seen the before and after. But Monday the office was no holds barred. I got Luigi, Charles Bronson, Borat, Cheech and Serpico. Last night Michelle came through for a visit and business and at the end it was photoshoot time. Have a laugh on me...

Harvey

Mean Streets-Harvey Keitel
My boy Wil C lent me this flick over the weekend. I haven't scene Mean Streets in about a good 10 years. It's true the older you get the more appreciation you have for the past. In this case it has nothing to do with nostalgia or the old New York but vision and respect for what Martin Scorsese did for cinema. The slow motion pan bar scene has been ripped off to death over the years. But nothing beats the original. The red of the room, the characters at the bar and the 50 yard stare of Harvey Keitel. Don't get me wrong young De Niro does his thing but plays a good second fiddle. Next time you watch Mean Streets peep Harvey's shirt, the lapel, the knot in the tie and the three piece suit. Classic! What's a mook?

Moz Night!

Epic night at Carnegie Hall! Opener was "This Charming Man" never heard it before performed live. Seats were incredible. Thank you Bren for buying the tickets. Downtown dirtbags were in full effect uptown. Brought the after party to Lil Frankie's, unofficially hosted by Jordan. Always at the right place at the right time Morrissey band mate/guitarist Jesse Tobias was eating there. He was pretty bummed when Todd asked to take a flick. Then as always good old faithful....whiskey and threats...

Super Cat

One of the baddest brothers to walk the planet Super Cat! A godfather of the dancehall movement in the late 80's and early 90's, Super Cat is to dancehall what Big Daddy Kane is to hip-hop for that era. Thanks for the countless tunes that kept me grinding on birds at hooky jams when I was 13.

Harlem World

As promised by myself from our first meeting I took Mr. Pedro Winter aka Busy P up to Harlem for a walk across 125th. Then stepped over to Amy Ruth's for some soul food. Talks about M.O.P., lost love and Michael Jackson....Till the next time...

Smooth Puerto Rican brother from the Bronx Ralfi Pagan. Stumbled upon his music while looking for Joe Bataan at Virgin many moons ago. Baby making music for days. Look up and get your grind on kids. Shouts to Young Chris.
